Fixed Route Fares Effective February 10, 2009

  • Transfers are free. Transfers are issued to provide service between two points not served by a single route. Transfers are free and valid for a maximum of 1 hour and 15 minutes after issued. Transfers cannot be used for a return trip. Transfers are only issued to customers who pay a fare.
  • Children age 5 and under ride free.
  • Summer Youth Passes are available for high school students from June 1 to August 31.
  • Seniors and Persons with Disabilities may receive a JTRAN Reduced Fare Card upon submission of an application and provision of proof of eligibility.
  • The Bulk Rate Pass Program allows for organizations to purchase daily, weekly and monthly passes at a discount. Up to 250 passes purchased with a 2% discount, off the pricing. 251-500 passes purchased receive a 5% discount and 500 or more passes purchased receive a 10% discount.
  • One Personal Care Attendant (PCA) rides free. All other companions pay same fare as eligible passenger.

 

HandiLift Fares Effective February 10, 2009

Within the ADA fixed route zone of ¾ mile on either side of JTRAN fixed route
One Way $2.00
20-Ride Pass $40.00 ($2.00 per ride)
  • Passengers must be ADA certified or a companion to ride JTRAN Paratransit as first priority.
  • Children under 5 ride free.
  • ADA eligible passengers receive free JTRAN Paratransit registration card.

JTRAN Pass Outlets

  • JATRAN Bus Facility - 1785 Highway 80 West, Jackson
  • Union Station - 300 W. Capitol Street, Jackson
  • Through U.S. Mail, by mailing your money order to: City of Jackson, Transit Services Division, 1785 Highway 80 West, Jackson, MS 39204.

Only cash or money order is accepted at above listed locations.  Additional pass outlets to be added in the future.

JTRAN Transfers

If you need more than one bus to get to your destination, purchase a Day Pass from JTRAN Customer Service Center at Union Station or request a transfer.

Transfers are free. Transfers are issued to provide continuous service between two points not served by a single route. Transfers are free and valid for a maximum of 1 hour and 15 minutes after issued. Transfers cannot be used for a return trip. Transfers are only issued to passengers who pay a fare. Transfer are valid at any location where two or more JTRAN routes meet in the JTRAN service area.

JTRAN main transfer points are at Union Station, 300 West Capitol Street, Jackson (all routes, except Route 12) and 1-55 West Frontage Road @ Save-a-Lot Food Stores (Routes 1 and 12).
