Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba extends the Executive Order closing City Hall and non-essential offices effective Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 12:00 a.m. through Thursday, January 21, 2021, until rescinded or superseded by another applicable Proclamation or Executive Order. The Department of the Municipal Clerk at City Hall will still be open to receive legal documents as well as assist TSA, passport, open records and 2021 elections customers.

The Division of Family and Youth is designated to deliver a comprehensive array of services designed to enhance the stability within the City of Jackson families by offering programs and services that assist in the development of the socio-economic independence of the family unit and aid in the positive growth and development of city youth.

The City of Jackson’s Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program is designed to educate, motivate and cultivate positive work ethnics through hands on experience within city offices and local businesses throughout the City of Jackson.
