Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba extends the Executive Order closing City Hall and non-essential offices effective Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 12:00 a.m. through Thursday, January 21, 2021, until rescinded or superseded by another applicable Proclamation or Executive Order. The Department of the Municipal Clerk at City Hall will still be open to receive legal documents as well as assist TSA, passport, open records and 2021 elections customers.

The City of Jackson, Department of Parks and Recreation “After School Program” is a FREE program offer to boys and girls ages 6-12 years old. Monday- Friday 2:15 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Parents must provide transportation to the site along with a lite healthy snack in an insulated lunch bag each day. The program consists of educational enrichment activities, homework assistance, and recreational activities.

The “Summer Program” is a seven week program, Monday- Friday from 7:30 a.m. -5:30 p.m. for boys and girls ages 6-12 years old. Parents must provide transportation to the site, a healthy lunch and snack in an insulated lunch bag and a water bottle for their child each day. The program consists of recreational activities, educational enrichment, field trips and guest speakers.
