ATTENTION JACKSON RESIDENTS: Mayor Lumumba has issued a STAY AT HOME ORDER for the City of Jackson to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, which will take effect Friday, April 3, 2020, at 12:00 am. As a precaution, City Hall and all non-essential city government offices, including our Senior Community Centers and Early Childhood Development Centers will be closed until April 17, 2020. Public gatherings of 10 or more people are strictly prohibited. Restaurants may only operate as take-out, drive-through, or delivery service only. Emergency Services

911/Public Safety Communications is the emergency dispatch center for the Jackson Fire Department and Jackson Police Department. Communications Officers answer all 9-1-1 emergency and administrative calls, direct connect emergency medical calls to the ambulance service; dispatch Fire and Police calls; and operate the National Criminal Information Center (NCIC).

Call 9-1-1 for life-threatening emergencies only.  Call the non-emergency number, 601-960-1234 for all other requests.  For example Alarms; identity theft; credit card theft. For non-law enforcement and other city information call 3-1-1.

In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1.
