The Jackson Police Department provides law enforcement services to the citizens of the capitol city of the State of Mississippi. Rich in heritage, the City of Jackson covers approximately 175,000 citizens encompassing 115 square miles.  There are staffing positions for 500 sworn officers, supported by 264 civilian personnel.  The Jackson Police Department (JPD) appreciates your interest and hope you find the information on our website useful.
