The Department of Administration provides efficient administrative, technological, and financial support services to citizens, customers, departments, and stakeholders of the City of Jackson in an effort to ensure that effective and needed services are provided to all constituents.

The administrative arm of the City of Jackson is the Department of Administration, which incorporates the division of Finance, Purchasing, Budget, Treasury Management, Information Services, Geographical Information Systems, Telecommunications, Records Management, Publications, and Municipal Court Services.
The department prepares quarterly financial statements, the annual budgets, and special reports as needed advising the various departments and governing authorities of the financial condition of the City of Jackson. The annual budget contains recommended operating expenditures, capital expenditures, and revenue expectations from all sources.
