Effective June 30, 2020: Per the Second Amended Stay Safe Jackson Executive Order, individuals in the City of Jackson are required to wear a face covering in public. Business owners must require all parties (employees, patrons, etc.) to wear a face covering. Businesses found in violation will be shutdown for 24-hours and must submit an Attestation of Compliance with the City of Jackson before reopening. The Department of Administration provides efficient administrative, technological, and financial support services to citizens, customers, departments, and stakeholders of the City of Jackson in an effort to ensure that effective and needed services are provided to all constituents.

Our goal is to provide fiscal leadership and superior financial services through efficient management of the City's financial resources.

The administrative arm of the City of Jackson is the Department of Administration, which incorporates the division of Finance, Purchasing, Budget, Treasury Management, Information Services, Geographical Information Systems, Telecommunications, Records Management, Publications, and Municipal Court Services.

The department prepares quarterly financial statements, the annual budgets, and special reports as needed advising the various departments and governing authorities of the financial condition of the City of Jackson.  The annual budget contains recommended operating expenditures, capital expenditures, and revenue expectations from all sources.
