SIWELL ROAD WELL BACK ONLINE WITH NEW PUMP

Precautionary Boil Water Notice Still in Effect for Impacted Area

(JACKSON, Miss.) – As of this evening, repairs have been competed at the Siwell Road Well. The well is officially back online with a brand-new pump and once again pushing water into the Jackson Maddox Well System.

The TV Road Well is continuing to operate with a temporary pump for the time being. Delivery of a permanent pump for TV Road is anticipated sometime next week. Once it is delivered, a schedule for its installation will be shared.

A precautionary boil water notice still remains in effect for the impacted areas. The notice will stay in place until two days of water samples are tested and approved by the Mississippi State Department of Health.

The Jackson Maddox Well System is comprised of six wells and serves approximately 16K well water connections primarily in South Jackson and the City of Byram. It is estimated that approximately 2,000 connections have been impacted by recent disruptions at the Siwell Road and TV Road wells.
