Who can join the Mayor’s Youth Council?

Students in grades 10-12 who reside in the City of Jackson may participate in the program. The Mayor’s Youth Council is made up of 25-30 students, with a minimum of two students from each JPS high school. Applicants from private and parochial schools will be considered if the student lives in the City of Jackson. Students selected or the youth council must maintain a B average in all classes.
