The City accepts general statement of qualifications (SOQ’s) twice a year in the spring and fall for a variety of professional services. Public Works retains the statement of qualifications on file for a year. Should a project arise that necessitates hiring a consultant, Public Works staff will review the SOQs and select a consultant based on their qualifications.
Certain federal and state funded projects such as federal transportation projects require that the city advertise separately for proposals for the specific project and rate them based on specific criteria. Interested firms that submit a general SOQ will need to submit a proposal specific to the advertised project.
