The City of Jackson’s Water and Sewer Business Administration office in the Metrocenter Mall will be closed Monday, March 27 until further notice.

The Metrocenter was damaged during Sunday’s storm. Water bills may be paid by phone or click here for payment locations.

QUALITY HEALTHCARE PARTNERS WITH JOBS FOR JACKSONIANS FOR

RECRUITMENT EVENT WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st

(JACKSON, Miss) – Quality Healthcare is partnering with the Jobs for Jacksonians program to host a job fair, Wednesday, September 1st from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Tougaloo Community Center, located at 318 Vine Street, Jackson, Mississippi 39213. Quality Healthcare offers in-home private duty nursing service as well as Homemaker and companionship services. These services are provided right in the privacy of the client’s home.

Recruiters are hiring for candidates with the following skillsets:

  • Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Homemakers
  • Elderly and Disabled Waiver
  • Intellectual Development Disability – (IDD Waiver)

Application Requirements:

  • Background check
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current automobile/health insurance
  • Current physical and TB Skin test
  • Basic CPR & First Aid (all staff members)

Due to COVID-19, the event will be abiding with local guidelines to ensure safety of prospective applicants. Everyone must wear a face covering at all times.

Jobs for Jacksonians is an initiative created to provide accessible information about employment opportunities for Jackson residents. The program also offers an array of services and training opportunities to assist job-seekers. In addition to recruiting sessions, the program offers job readiness workshops, job search/placement assistance and an annual job fair. Other services, such as assistance with writing a professional resume, leadership/professional development and interviewing techniques, are available as well.
