March of the Mayors Donation Site

Posted on March 2, 2022

Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba is joining fellow mayors across the metro Jackson area to raise food items for the Mississippi food pantry Extra Table. Mayor Lumumba is asking residents to donate the food item he has been given – tuna – to several locations. Since Jackson is the largest city to participate in the food collection drive, the Mayor is optimistic residents will out give other cities.

The March of the Mayors food drive is now underway and will extend to Tuesday, March 22.

Tuna can be dropped off at the following locations:

Maywood Mart Corner Market – 1220 E. Northside Dr.

Kroger – 4910 Interstate 55 North

JPD Precinct 4 – 4940 Old Canton Rd.

JFD Fire Station 20 – 4445 Medgar Evers Blvd.

Fire Station 23 – 2640 Raymond Rd.

Fire Station 28 – 611 Terry Rd.
