JACKSON MADDOX WELL SYSTEM REPAIRS UPDATE
TV Road Well Repairs Anticipated to Resume Monday, June 28th; Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Still in Effect

(JACKSON, Miss.) – The City of Jackson Department of Public Works has received the new pump for the well at TV Road, however the City is still awaiting delivery of some additional parts required for repairs. This delivery is expected sometime this week and repairs are anticipated to resume on the TV Road well beginning Monday, June 28. Details of the repair schedule will be provided later in the week.

In the meantime, the TV Road Well is operating with a temporary pump and the Siwell Road Well has been fully repaired and is back online.  Any residents experiencing disruptions in their water service should notify 311.

A precautionary boil water notice still remains in effect for the impacted areas. The notice will stay in place until two days of water samples are tested and approved by the Mississippi State Department of Health.

The Jackson Maddox Well System currently operates on six wells and serves approximately 16K well water connections primarily in South Jackson and the City of Byram. It is estimated that approximately 2,000 connections have been impacted by recent disruptions at the Siwell Road and TV Road wells.
