Flooding affects O.B. Curtis Water Plant

Posted on August 29, 2022

For Immediate Release:

August 29, 2022
(Jackson, Miss.) – The flooding of the Pearl River has created problems with treating water at the O.B. Curtis Water Plant. Adjustments to the water treatment process are being made and has led to a temporary decrease in the production of water for some areas. This will remain an issue for the next couple days as we work to refill the tanks. The City will continue to update residents on the status of the system when we have additional information. We remain under a boil water notice.
