Patrick Armon, Assistant Fire Chief
Assistant Fire Chief Patrick C. Armon, within the rank structure of the Jackson Fire Department, is the second in command, and is responsible for administrative level supervision of the daily operations of the department. The duties of this office include but are not limited to the managing fire administration, fire loss management, operations and resource management, and internal affairs. This position also coordinates assigned activities with other city departments and outside agencies, and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Fire Chief.
Assistant Fire Chief Armon started his career in 1995 as a firefighter trainee in the Emergency Services Division of the Jackson Fire Department. Through competitive testing he quickly promoted through all ranks in the Emergency Services Division. In 2010, he achieved the fire department’s top tested rank of District Chief where he served in that capacity for approximately 8 years. In 2018, he was appointed to the command staff where he now serves as the Assistant Fire Chief.
Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Armon is a product of the City of Jackson. During his formative years he attended the Jackson Public Schools system and is a proud graduate of John W. Provine High School in Jackson Mississippi. In his 25 years of services to the citizens of Jackson, Assistant Fire Chief Armon has accumulated numerous credentials and certifications including most recently nationally registered Paramedic and Registered Nurse.
