CITY OFFICES TO REMAIN CLOSED, WASTE MANAGEMENT CONTINUES SUSPENSION OF COLLECTION ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17

(JACKSON, MS) – The City of Jackson is issuing the following additional updates this afternoon related to extreme cold weather impacting the Jackson area:

CITY HALL & CITY OFFICES REMAIN CLOSED WEDNESDAY

  • City Hall and all other City offices will remain closed on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. City of Jackson employees that have been working remotely should continue to do so.

WASTE MANAGEMENT CONTINUES SUSPENSION OF SERVICE WEDNESDAY

  • Due to winter weather conditions and road closures, Waste Management continues suspension of all garbage and trash collection services for Central Mississippi area customers on February 17, 2021. Waste Management will resume those collection services when road conditions are deemed safe to travel.
