(JACKSON, Miss.) – The City of Jackson and The Jackson Black Pages proudly announce the upcoming 5th Annual Jackson Minority Business Expo set for Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the Jackson Convention Complex from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

The Jackson Black Pages created the Jackson Minority Business Expo in 2013 to establish a working network between minority businesses and consumers to encourage the recycling of dollars within the local community to level the socioeconomic and political playing fields.

Once, only open to vendors in the tri-county area, The 5th Annual Jackson Minority Business Expo will now be open to all minority-owned businesses statewide. National and regional franchise businesses are also welcome as long as they operate in Mississippi.

In past years, the JMBE has boasted over 150 vendors each year with diverse offerings from online and brick & mortar businesses. In addition to shopping, JMBE will have several “break-out” sessions led by City of Jackson officials and special guests with topics ranging from “Doing Business with the City”, “Utilizing Tech for your Business”, and “How to Start Your Small Business”

If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please visit www.tiny.cc/2019jbbe. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please contact jacksonblackpages@gmail.com or call Mike Davis, City of Jackson Office of Economic Development at 601.960.1638.

This event is free to the public.
