ATTENTION JACKSON RESIDENTS: Mayor Lumumba has issued a STAY AT HOME ORDER for the City of Jackson to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, which will take effect Friday, April 3, 2020, at 12:00 am. As a precaution, City Hall and all non-essential city government offices, including our Senior Community Centers and Early Childhood Development Centers will be closed until April 17, 2020. Responsibilities

The Purchasing Division ensures that the City of Jackson secures the best commodity and equipment at the best price for the tax dollar. This division is responsible for securing good, qualified vendors that will work with the City, past the delivery of the product.  This division is responsible for negotiating the procurement of commodities and approving contract and asset accountability, while insuring quality and effective expenditure of public funds while complying with the State Purchasing Laws and City Policies.
