NSD PROGRAM CONSULTANT, PROJECT # 1-2024

 

The City of Jackson’s Department of Planning and Development is accepting Proposals for a Consultant to facilitate the Neighborhood Services Division (NSD) Community Cleanup Initiative and the Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program until 3:30 P.M. CST on June 25, 2024.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

The City of Jackson’s Department of Planning and Development’s Neighborhood Services Division (NSD) is accepting Proposals for a Consultant to facilitate NSD’s Community Cleanup Initiative and the Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program. The Consultant shall meet the professional qualifications and demonstrate the ability to implement the goals, objectives, and tasks outlined in the NSD Community Cleanup Initiative and the Neighborhood Improvement Program.

 

COMMUNITY CLEANUP INITIATIVE

The objective of this Initiative is to help organize, promote, and support community-sponsored cleanup efforts that are designed to clean, beautify, protect the environment, and establish a sense of place and community camaraderie. Another objective of this initiative is to provide an imprinted garbage can to the elderly and low- to moderate-income individuals who live in an income-eligible neighborhood that is registered with the NSD.

 

NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

The objective of this initiative is to encourage neighborhood pride, stability and sustainability by assisting with creating an organizational structure for the area. Neighborhoods have the potential to qualify for a nominal grant to assist with various community activities that align with the objective of the Program.

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION PROCEDURES

Proposers shall submit one (1) original signed, six (6) copies of their response. For this RFP, all responses will be received by the Office of the City Clerk until 3:30 p.m., Central Time on June 25, 2024. Electronic responses can be submitted at www.centralbidding.com. The City of Jackson reserves the right to accept and reject any proposals for a Consultant to facilitate the Office of Neighborhood Services’ Community Cleanup Initiative and the Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program, discontinue Contract execution, and/or request additional information with any party at any time prior to final Contract execution.

Any inquiries, requests for an interpretation, or comments regarding the RFP must be submitted by email no later than 3:30 p.m., Central Standard Time, June 14th, 2024. Questions and comments will not be responded to over the telephone. Responses to inquiries and comments will be emailed to all solicitors after receipt of said questions or request for an interpretation or comments by the City by June 20th, 2024. Proposers shall rely only on written addenda provided by the City in submitting proposals.
