Marcus Myers, Division Fire Chief

Born and raised in Jackson, MS in Northwest Hills Terance. I attended the greatest high school in Mississippi, which is Provine High School. I also attended several colleges such as Ole Miss, Holmes and Hinds Community College. I was hired by the Jackson Fire Department on December 02, 2002. I moved up the ranks quickly as I was promoted to Relief Driver Operator in 2005, Lieutenant Driver Operator in 2011, Captain in 2014, and District Chief in 2019. I received certification in several area such as Chemistry of Hazardous Material, Haz-Mat Tech 1 and 2, Rope Rescue, and Confined Space. I was appointed Division Fire Chief in 2022 by Chief Willie Owens. I am married to my lovely wife Latasha Myers, and we have 2 beautiful children, Alexys Rand and Kameron Myers. I love cheering on my favorite team in the world, “Thee” Tennessee Titans and enjoying time with my new granddaughter Oaklynn Rae Chisolm!
