The Jackson Municipal Elections will be held on the following dates:
- April 6, 2021 – Primary Election
- April 27, 2021 – Runoff (If necessary)
- June 8, 2021 – General Election
Municipal Candidates Certification
The Jackson Municipal Democratic and Republican Committees have contracted with the Jackson Municipal Election Commissioners to run their primary elections. The Jackson Municipal Democratic Committee certifie municipal candidates, via Zoom, on February 11, 2021.
Call for Poll Workers
The City of Jackson is seeking Poll Workers for the upcoming 2021 Municipal Elections. Poll workers must reside within the City of Jackson and will be required to attend a two (2) hour training class. All interested parties should contact Kathy Cole, Deputy City Clerk at (601) 960-1033, or Linda Sanders, Chairperson of the Municipal Election Commission at (601) 960-1021 for additional information. Municipal Election Poll workers training will be held at the City of Jackson Police Training Academy located at 3000 St. Charles Street, Jackson Mississippi. Listed below are the following dates and times of the training classes:
March - 1st – 5th
10:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
March 6th
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
March 8th -12th
10:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
March 27th
10:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
