De'Keither Stamps
Ward 4

A native of Jackson, MS., Councilman De’Keither Stamps was reared in the Cedar Hills community in South Jackson and on his family’s farm in Learned, MS. A product of Jackson Public Schools, Stamps enlisted in the Marines and spent 3 years on Presidential Security for President Clinton and 3 years working for the State Department overseas (Africa, Switzerland & the United Kingdom). He decided to re-enlist into the Army in 2005 so that he could go to Iraq. He spent 3 years with the 82nd Airborne Division on back to back deployments.

Stamps is the Founder of Legacy Group Enterprises, LLC, Reviving Heroes and a founding member of Heroes Village of Mississippi. He is also a member NAACP Jackson Branch and serves as Chairman of the Armed Services Committee. As a member of VFW Post #9832, he serves as the Chairman of the committee for the VFW Teacher of the Year for the State of Mississippi.

Stamps brings proven leadership experience from the military and a strong work ethic from his life on his family’s farm to the Jackson City Council. He has been all over the world speaking, training and defending our country. His passion for education, economic development and community revitalization will continue to be the foundation of his work in Ward 4. Councilman De’Keither Stamps strives to build a city within a city in Ward 4 to be the catalyst to revitalize the city of Jackson.

Stamps is the proud of father of three girls, Jasmine (16), Kristian (7) and Kennedi (4).
