The Mayor’s Communications Division is responsible for responding to all inquiries in a professional manner. The goal is to provide a level of transparency of the administration, leading to a more productive and mutually beneficial relationship between government and the citizens of Jackson. Facilitating open and accountable access to City government by communicating the prioritized initiatives set by the administration and all other city departments is a clear mission. Through the Public, Education and Government Network (PEG),  the Communications Division keeps the public informed on key administrative activities and accomplishments. The Director also works in conjunction with Constituent Services to schedule and facilitate staff appearances and responses for television and radio public affairs programs, talk shows and news programs.
