Champion Dance Program

The Department of Parks and Recreation offers a comprehensive dance program instructed by Bridget Archer. It is our goal to provide awareness and training opportunities for youth in the area of performing arts.

Classes: September 10, 2018 - May 17, 2019 
Registration Begins August 1, 2018

Youth Monthly Fee: $15.00 per class

Ages: 3-5  Pre-Ballet
Ages: 6-16  Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern & Tap



Hustle Line Dance- Every Tuesday (FREE)
          -Beginner class at 5:30pm
          -Advance class at 6:30pm

African Dance- Every Thursday at 6:30pm (FREE)

"Kansas City: The Story of The Negro Baseball Leagues" (Finale Show)

Admission: $5.00 (Cash Only)

 Please join us as the students from Champion Dance Center and Montage Theatre of Dance from Hinds Community College perform through the art of dance the retelling story of Black baseball greats, Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson, as the obvious choice to be the first African -American major leaguer, but the outspoken rookie, Jackie Robinson is chosen by Branch Rickey, the owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers who is determined to integrate Major League Baseball.
