City using new Digital Scanning Voting System, the DS200?
The City of Jackson is excited to announce the use of a new Digital Scanning Voting System, the DS200?. It will be implemented for the May 7 Municipal Primary and June 4 General Election. The Voting System is supplied and supported by Election Systems & Software (ES&S). ES&S has a regional office in Hinds County and supports all of the State?s 82 counties.

The DS200? is the nation?s most widely used paper-based digital precinct scanner with more than 15,000 units in use. The DS200 equips the City of Jackson with the most advanced tabulation technology available.

Technicians will be located around the Wards on Election Day to assist precincts. Polls open at 7:00 am and close at 7:00 pm.

The City Clerks Office is open on Election Day and will be available to answer any questions.

The City Clerk?s office will be open on Saturday May 4, 2013 8:00am-12:00pm for absentee voting.
