Mission Statement
To plan, design, construct, maintain and provide custodial care for municipal
buildings, cemeteries, street right of way and downtown landscape projects.
Primary Responsibilities: - Central Office/Administration - Responsible for division planning, budgeting and
other administrative functions. The central office also manages security at City Hall and
other public buildings and also manages employee parking via payroll deduction.
- Building Maintenance Section - This section is composed of Care and Maintenance
of Public Buildings and Custodial Services operations. This section includes carpenters,
electricians, plumbers, painters, HVAC technicians and custodians. This section includes
two operations; Care and Maintenance of Public Buildings and Custodial Services. This
section is comprised of more than 50 persons including one superintendent and four
supervisors. This section provides maintenance services for approximately 125 public
buildings.
