Mission Statement: The Engineering Division plans, designs and manages the construction of the City's infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:
This section is responsible for all engineering, architectural, and
landscape architectural work for the City, including the design
and construction of the City's capitol improvement projects.
This section is responsible for providing information about and
regulations regarding the use of floodplains.
This section is responsible for administering some of the
requirements of the City's NPDES Permit.
This section is responsible for the management of traffic
operations and the installation and maintenance of traffic control
devices to ensure safe and efficient use of public streets/right-of-
way. This section also oversees the Neighborhood Traffic Calming
Program and the Decorative Street Sign Program.
This section is consists of the City's on-site representatives for
the construction, alteration, or repair of buildings, highways,
streets, sewer systems, water systems, or any other City capitol
improvement project.
This section is responsible for the practice of determining and/or
interpreting the two and three dimensional characteristics of
points on or about the earth's surface and all activity related
thereto.
This section is responsible for conducting traffic counts,
intersection warrant studies and speed studies.
This section manages the activities of the Engineering Division.
