Mission Statement:
The Department of Parks and Recreation's Programming Division strives to provide positive alternatives through diversified programming which are created to improve an individual's options and opportunites; by providing quality programs designed to enhance leisure activites, educational services, self-esteem, health, and social development for youth ages seven (7) through sixteen (16).
Harvest Carnival
Join us for an evening of exciting and safe, family fun! Participants can wear costumes or come as they are! The carnival will provide a safe environment and supervised fun for the entire family. Several activities are planned, including games, prizes, and space jumps. A treat bag will be provided with every paid admission.

In past years, the Annual Easter Egg Hunt has attracted hundreds of participants to the event at Battlefield Park. The exciting event continues to grow every year, and the Department of Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with WJMI/WKXI Radio Station, will host the 2011 egg hunt for children ages five (5) to ten (10) years of age. Please arrive at least one hour early, so the event will begin on time at 12:00p.m. We look forward to a great event!
