Human and Cultural Services

The Department of Human and Cultural Services funds and operates programs and services that meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable individuals in our community which  may include: families and individuals with low incomes, children, domestic violence victims, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

In order to achieve these goals, we invest in programs that help individuals gain independence and high levels of success. We work closely with other City of Jackson departments to support the Mayor's efforts of building strong families and healthy communities.

The Administrative Office is located in the Jackson Medical Mall and is opened Monday through Friday between the hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and closed on holidays. For more information, please call (601) 960-0335.
