  • Unites a team of professionals from City, County, State and Federal agencies for the common goal of enhancing the quality of life for all citizens of Jackson
  • Utilizes a holistic approach that draws from law enforcement, housing, social services, education, health care, and other community-based organizations
  • Seeks to identify and analyze conditions that foster criminal behavior, then develop proactive methods and strategies to correct or eliminate such conditions
  • Coordinates activities with two sworn officers from each of the Jackson Police Department's four precincts to implement and maintain the Community-Oriented Policing Strategies (COPS) program, attend monthly COPS meetings, educates citizens in crime deterrence, conducts residential and business security surveys, and assists Code Enforcement Officers as needed.
