Disseminates information on key administrative activities and accomplishments via press releases, news conferences, phone calls, personal meetings and site visits
Schedules and facilitates staff appearances and responses for television and radio public affairs programs, talk shows, news programs and print publications
Prepares proclamations, awards of merit, souvenir program letters and certificates of recognition upon request from citizens and organizations
Coordinates informational updates to highlight municipal initiatives, administrative accomplishments, and noteworthy issues
Monitors daily operations and field activities in all city departments to ensure services are being provided in a timely and cost-efficient manner
Conducts site visits to gather information, resolve constituents concerns and develop recommendations for anticipatory courses of action
Serves as Mayor's liaison at neighborhood association and Community-Oriented Policing Strategies (COPS) meetings to encourage citizen input and participation and to facilitate resolution of community issues.
