Mission Statement
The mission of the Internal Audit Division is to provide a comprehensive level of audit coverage for all City of Jackson departments to ensure effective and efficient operations of City services in compliance with established policies and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities

The Internal Audit Division performs audits and reviews of City of Jackson departments, divisions, functions, programs and activities as authorized by the Office of the Mayor and Internal Audit Committee to ensure effective and efficient operations of City services in compliance with established policies and procedures.

The Internal Audit Division for the City of Jackson is organized as part of the general government function for the City. The Division reports operationally to the Office of the Mayor and also to an Internal Audit Committee as authorized by City ordinance.
